Previously Issued EPA Nutrient Reduction Policies and Supporting Documents
Over the past three decades, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has developed, published and supported nutrient reduction policies along with technical and programmatic resources to reduce nutrient pollution and improve water quality. These documents have provided states, Tribes, and territories with guidance and recommendations on development and adoption of numeric nutrient criteria, nutrient reduction frameworks, water quality trading, and other market-based programs to maximize pollutant reduction efforts and improve water quality.
