Computational Toxicology and Exposure APIs: Clients
Clients
Formatting an HTTP request is not necessarily intuitive nor worth the time for someone not already familiar with the process. Given API request construction may require a significant investment in time and energy to learn how to use, the following client API packages have been developed to support access to the Computational Toxicology and Exposure APIs (CTX APIs):

Applications
CTX APIs are leveraged in various EPA research applications, such as:
- Abstract Sifter is an Excel-based tool that facilitates literature searching in PubMed. This tool utilizes various API calls, including to select bioassay data from the CTX Bioactivity APIs.
- ToxCast Pipeline (tcpl) R Package can utilize the CTX Bioactivity APIs as a connection option for data retrieval and plotting.
- The TAME 2.0 Toolkit leverages the CTX APIs for accessing data to answer questions in case studies related to environmental health.
