Hurricane Milton
As Hurricane Milton approaches the southwest Florida coastline, heavy rainfall and storm surges are expected across the state. Central and northern portions of the state may also experience catastrophic flash and urban flooding, moderate to major river flooding and tornadoes.
EPA continues to work with federal, state, local and Tribal partners to prepare for Hurricane Milton. Subject matter experts are deployed to Florida, both in the Florida Emergency Operations Center and other areas, and EPA is prepared to quickly assist in recovery efforts as soon as the storm passes.
