TRI Pounds
Waste management activity quantity (e.g., chemical quantity released to the environment or transferred off site for further waste management) in pounds per year. This result includes chemical waste management quantities reported to all environmental media, whether or not they are modeled by RSEI.
RSEI Modeled Pounds
Waste management activity quantity (e.g., chemical quantity released to the environment or transferred off site for further waste management) in pounds per year, calculated only for RSEI modeled media, or the kinds or releases and transfers that RSEI models to produce risk-related results (scores). RSEI currently models stack and fugitive air emissions, discharges to receiving streams or waterbodies, transfers off site to publicly owned treatment works (POTW) facilities, and transfers off site to incineration.
RSEI Hazard
Waste management activity quantity (e.g., chemical quantity released to the environment or transferred off site for further waste management) in pounds per year (TRI Pounds), multiplied by a chemical- and exposure route-specific toxicity weight. No environmental fate or population exposure modeling is performed. RSEI Hazard can be calculated for any waste management activity reported to TRI.
RSEI Modeled Hazard
RSEI Modeled Hazard is calculated in the same way as described above for RSEI Hazard, but only for RSEI modeled media, or the kinds of chemical releases and transfers that RSEI models to produce risk-related results (RSEI Scores). No environmental fate or population exposure modeling is performed.
Cancer Hazard
Waste management activity quantity (e.g., chemical quantity released to the environment or transferred off site for further waste management) in pounds per year (TRI Pounds), multiplied by a chemical- and exposure route-specific toxicity weight for carcinogenic effects only. No environmental fate or population exposure modeling is performed.
Noncancer Hazard
Waste management activity quantity (e.g., chemical quantity released to the environment or transferred off site for further waste management) in pounds per year (TRI Pounds), multiplied by a chemical- and exposure route-specific toxicity weight for noncarcinogenic effects only. No environmental fate or population exposure modeling is performed.
Toxicity-Weighted Concentration
Modeled environmental concentration of a chemical, multiplied by the chemical's exposure route-specific toxicity weight. Toxicity-weighted concentration results include environmental fate and transport modeling using physicochemical property and chemical transformation data for both the air and water release pathways. No population exposure modeling is performed.
RSEI Score
A unitless risk-related result value calculated as the product of a chemical's estimated dose, the exposure route-specific toxicity weight, and the potentially exposed population. This calculated score is determined through air and water release pathway-specific modeling, combined with population-specific exposure scenario factors, assumptions, and estimates.
Cancer Score
The RSEI Cancer Score is calculated in the same way as described above for RSEI Score, but uses chemical- and exposure route-specific toxicity weights for carcinogenic effects only.
Noncancer Score
The RSEI Noncancer Score is calculated in the same way as described above for RSEI Score, but uses chemical- and exposure route-specific toxicity weights for noncarcinogenic effects only.
