Instructions for Registering on SAM.gov
Organizations applying to EPA funding opportunities must have active SAM.gov registration. It may take more than a month for a SAM.gov registration to be processed.
If you have previously done business with the federal government, use your government issued Unique Entity ID (UEI) to determine if your registration is active. SAM.gov requires users to renew a registration every 365 days.
Organizations should ensure their SAM.gov registrations include current e-Business (EBiz) point of contact names and email addresses. The EBiz point of contact is critical for Grants.gov registration and system functionality.
Instructions for Registering on Grants.gov
Grants.gov the website where federal agencies post funding opportunities and where grantees can find and apply to them. Once your SAM.gov account is active, you must register in Grants.gov. Grants.gov will electronically receive your organization’s information, such as EBiz point of contact email address and UEI. Organizations applying for a P2 grant must have active Grants.gov registration. Grants.gov registration is FREE.
