What are the Computer Hardware and Software Requirements for Installing and Running MOVES?

MOVES is designed to run on a single personal computer with a Windows 10 or 11 operating system.

The recommended minimum hardware for a desktop or laptop computer running MOVES are:

64-bit CPU with 4 or more cores: Intel i7 or AMD Ryzen 5,
One solid-state drive with 512 GB. This allows for Windows, and other user applications along with 100GB for MOVES, MariaDB and temporary and final database storage,
16 or 32 GB RAM.

MOVES is not CPU or memory intensive; it is I/O intensive. Faster SSDs and NVMe (Non-Volatile Memory Express) are well-suited for MOVES runs.
