GHGRP published two new interactive StoryMaps to provide map-based overviews of onshore wells that report under GHGRP. View the GHGRP StoryMaps here.

What's New for GHG Reporters?
Refreshed Reporting Resources for RY2023
Resources by subpart for GHG reporters were updated with new organization and formatting to make it easier to find relevant content and information. Info sheets relevant to each subpart are also being updated.
Rule Proposals and Updates
Find out more about EPA's various rulemaking activities:
- Amendments to the GHGRP: Improvements to the quality of the data collected and establish or amend confidentiality determinations. Amendments also include updates to global warming potentials (GWPs) and inclusion of new source categories.
- GHGRP Subpart W Proposed Rule: Proposes to revise subpart W (Petroleum and Natural Gas Systems), subpart C (General Stationary Fuel Combustion Sources) and subpart A (General Provisions) to address potential gaps in reporting of emissions data for specific sectors and establishes confidentiality determinations for new or substantially revised data elements.
- Waste Emissions Charge (WEC) Proposed Rule: As required by Congress, EPA has proposed to impose and collect an annual charge on methane emissions that exceed specified waste emissions thresholds from applicable oil and gas facilities.
e-GGRT Updates
- e-GGRT password expiration: e-GGRT passwords expire every 90 days. If you have not changed it within 90 days, your e-GGRT password is likely expired, and you will be prompted to change your password. See the GHGRP Help site for more information on how to reset your password.
- Updating DR and ADR: If your facility has experienced a change in staffing, don’t forget to update your Designated Representative (DR) or Alternate Designated Representative (ADR). Note that facility owners and operators are required to provide a DR or ADR and provide update if the DR or ADR is changed according ot the procedures in 40 CFR 98.4(g). - Mergers and acquisitions: If your facility has experienced a change in ownership through a merger or acquisition, consistent with the requirements in 40 CFR 98.4(h) of the GHGRP, the Certificate of Representation (COR) needs to be updated within 90 days after the change in ownership occurs. Attention HAWK users! Expanded and updated (for RY2023) HAWK feature allows you to export select HAWK data into a pre-populated e-GGRT Subpart OO form.
