Results: E3 by the Numbers

These are some of the benefits brought about by E3 since 2009. E3 assessment teams are continuing to identify opportunities for manufacturers to improve environmental performance, energy efficiency, and economic conditions. E3 will share more results as new projects get under way and reporting expands.

Participating E3 communities identified opportunities to reduce more than 299 million lbs. air emissions, >1.4 billion lbs. solid waste, >11 million lbs. hazardous waste, over 330 million lbs. water pollution, >635 million gals water use (December 2023)

Participating E3 communities have identified over 32 million in one-time cost savings, more than 60 million in environmental savings, over 465 million in lean savings, and more than 62 million in energy cost savings (December 2023)

2,465 jobs created / 4,804 jobs retained by E3 communities since 2009 (December 2023)
