In March 2018, the Sanford Gasification Plant Superfund site achieved the Site-wide Ready for Anticipated Use (SWRAU) milestone. The SWRAU designation is significant because it formally announces that EPA has completed land-based cleanup at the site and that it is now available for reuse by the Sanford, Florida community.
