Public Notice: Proposed Settlement with Green Works Enterprises for Clean Water Act Violations in Vancouver, Washington
Summary
EPA is providing notice of a proposed administrative penalty settlement with Green Works Enterprises, Inc. (respondent) for violations of the Clean Water Act at a site located near Curtain Creek in Vancouver, Washington.
EPA alleges that the respondent failed to obtain permit coverage under Clean Water Act Section 404 prior to discharging dredged and/or fill material into waters of the United States, including wetlands adjacent to Curtain Creek.
EPA also alleges that the respondent failed to obtain permit coverage under Clean Water Act Section 402 prior to discharging stormwater associated with industrial activity.
This action is being simultaneously commenced and concluded in a legal document called a consent agreement. Under the proposed agreement (see "related documents" below), Green Works Enterprises, Inc. will pay a civil penalty of $17,000.
