Public Notice: Proposed Settlement with Ahsahka Water and Sewer District for Clean Water Act Violations in Idaho

EPA is providing notice of a proposed administrative penalty settlement with the Ahsahka Water and Sewer District (respondent) for violations of the Clean Water Act at its wastewater treatment plant located in Ahsahka, Idaho.
EPA alleges that the facility failed to maintain a copy of its permit on site, develop a Quality Assurance Plan, update the Operations and Maintenance Plan, update the Emergency Response and Public Notification Plan, and meet the operation and maintenance requirements as required by their National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit (#ID0025224).
This action is being simultaneously commenced and concluded in a legal document called an Expedited Settlement Agreement. Under the proposed agreement (see "Related Documents"), the Ahsahka Water and Sewer District will pay a civil penalty of $775 and has returned to compliance.
