Administrator Regan to join Congresswoman Valerie Foushee, Mayor Leonardo Williams, Durham Public School District Officials and students in Durham where the local school district is set to receive 38 new electric buses
DURHAM, N.C. – On Wednesday, Oct. 23 at 11:45 a.m. EDT, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Michael S. Regan will join U.S. Representative Valerie Foushee (NC-04), Durham Mayor Leonardo Williams, officials from Durham Public Schools, and students to celebrate funding for new clean school buses coming to the district.
Durham Public Schools will soon receive 38 brand new electric school buses thanks to the Biden-Harris Administration’s Investing in America agenda, which is delivering environmental benefits for all, growing the economy from the middle out and bottom up, and creating jobs and opportunities for communities across the country. To date, North Carolina has received $70 million dollars to 32 school districts to replace over 230 school buses across the state.
During the visit to the Southern School of Energy and Sustainability, Administrator Regan will deliver remarks highlighting the new clean school buses coming to North Carolina, take questions from the press, and join students and officials for an electric school bus ride.
