Administrator Regan Travels to Glasgow for COP26 to Participate in Events Focused on Climate Action
WASHINGTON (Nov. 5, 2021) – From November 9 through November 11, EPA Administrator Michael S. Regan will participate in the 26th Conference of the Parties (COP26) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), in Glasgow, United Kingdom. Throughout COP26, Administrator Regan will focus on initiatives and partnerships with other countries, the private sector, and civil society to mobilize ambitious action in key areas, including methane pollution, clean energy, HFC enforcement, efficient cookstoves, zero emission vehicles, industrial decarbonization, and adaptation. In his engagements, Administrator Regan will underscore the role EPA is playing to deliver on President Biden’s ambitious climate agenda that will grow the economy and create good paying jobs, the importance of environmental justice, and the impact of young leaders on taking meaningful action.
