The Disclosure Rule requires that those who sell or rent pre-1978 homes do the following:

Help Us Determine Whether the Lead Disclosure Rule Has Been Violated
EPA takes enforcement actions against landlords, property management firms, and real estate companies that do not comply with the Disclosure Rule. To take enforcement actions, EPA needs as much of the following information as possible:
Was the “Protect Your Family From Lead In Your Home” pamphlet provided by the landlord/property manager/seller on or before the date the rental or sales contract became effective?
Check the box(es) below if the rental or sales contract included a warning statement about potential lead hazards that stated:
Did the rental or sales contract indicate information about lead-based paint found at the property existed?
Please provide any additional details (e.g., was the pamphlet not provided, was the warning statement absent or incomplete, was information shared about lead-based paint at the property incomplete, etc.)
