EPA Finalizes Lime Manufacturing Facilities

(08/29/03) EPA’s final air toxics standard for lime manufacturing plants will reduce toxic air emissions from new and existing facilities. When fully implemented, this rule will reduce emissions of air toxic metals by 3.6 tons per year and hydrochloric acid emissions by about 240 tons per year. In addition, this rule will reduce particulate matter emissions by 3,880 tons per year and SO2 emissions by 6,150 tons per year.
