EPA Employees Honored for Excellence

PHILADELPHIA -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has presented awards for superior service to two employees from New Jersey.
Geraud Volk was recognized for the planning, design, and implementation of the GreenLease Project. Volk, from Toms River, N.J., is an architect and has been an EPA employee for nine years.
Patrick Foley, a native of Spring Lake N.J. who now lives in Philadelphia, received two bronze medals for national leadership in investigating pulp mills. Foley has worked for nine years as a senior environmental engineer for EPA.
"These employees deserve applause for their hard work. Thanks to them, the mid-Atlantic Region is a cleaner, safer place to live," said W. Michael McCabe, EPA mid-Atlantic regional administrator.
