EPA Administrator Christie Whitman will attend the annual session of the Council of the Commission for Environmental Cooperation (CEC) in Guadalajara, Mexico on June 28 and 29. Whitman is one of the members of the CEC along with the environmental ministers of Canada and Mexico.
President Vicente Fox has invited Whitman and the other CEC Council members for a meeting at his residence on Wednesday, June 27.
The Council will address environmental issues of continental concern including regional leadership on global issues and promoting public participation.
