FEDERAL, STATE SCIENTISTS TO DISCUSS POTENTIAL AIRPORT RUNWAYS' EFFECT ON BAY

SAN FRANCISCO -- Representatives from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will join scientists from other state and federal agencies at a public forum on Oct. 20 at Fort Mason to discuss issues related to potential new runways in San Francisco Bay.
WHO: Representatives from the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration, U.S. EPA, U.S Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission, California Department of Fish and Game and others
WHAT: Scientific Panel on New Runways in San Francisco Bay
WHERE: Golden Gate Conference Room, Building A, Fort Mason
WHEN: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 20.
NOTE: There will be a lunch session beginning at noon for journalists to talk to the panelists.
