EPA awards $200,000 to Louisiana to support home energy efficiency program

(Dallas, Texas - March 14, 2007) The Environmental Protection Agency has awarded $200,000 to the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality to support Louisiana's Home Energy Rebate Option (HERO) program. The HERO program offers cash incentives in the form of rebates to Louisiana homeowners who build new homes or retrofit existing homes to high levels of energy efficiency.
