EPA Administrator Christie Whitman will visit the South Bronx to attend a clean air energy event on Monday, Aug. 6 with environmental and community representatives. In addition, the NY State Department of Environmental Conservation Commissioner Erin Crotty, Northeast States for Coordinated Air Use Management (NESCAUM) Executive Director Jason Grumet, Con Edison President Kevin Burke and Senior Vice President of the New York Power Authority Robert Tscherne will also be attending. The event is being hosted by the Clean Air Communities, a nonprofit organization working to bring clean air technology to urban communities.
