EPA ADMINISTRATOR WHITMAN TO CELEBRATE CLIMATE LEADERS SIXTH-MONTH ANNIVERSARY

EPA Administrator Christie Whitman will be the keynote speaker at an event highlighting the six month anniversary of EPA’s Climate Leaders program. Climate Leaders is a voluntary partnership between companies and EPA to develop industry-wide greenhouse gas emission inventories and set reduction goals. Administrator Whitman will describe the progress of the Climate Leaders program, recognize new Partners, and applaud the new reduction goals set by Climate Leaders Partners.

The event is being co-sponsored by Business for Social Responsibility and NAEM, an environmental management organization. Administrator Whitman will be joined by Thomas V. Skinner, Regional Administrator of EPA Region V; Dick Pastor, President NAEM; Thomas Higgins, President and Chief Operating Officer, Business for Social Responsibility; and representatives from Climate Leaders Partner companies.
