Cotulla Wastewater Treatment Plant receives $485,000 to improve water quality

(Dallas, Texas – June 8, 2010) After forty years, the Cotulla Wastewater Treatment Plant in Southeastern Texas is undergoing a major revitalization. The plant was awarded a $485,000 grant from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to facilitate enhancements. The focus of the grant will entail updating the electrical system, replacing various valves in the treatment processor and upgrades to the pretreatment facilities. The project will improve water quality for more than 3,600 people.
