U.S. EPA TO HOLD PRESS AVAILABILITY AT CENTRAL EUREKA SITE

(San Francisco)-- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
(U.S. EPA) today announced that on Monday, June 26, it will begin
the cleanup of the yards of homes contaminated with arsenic from
a former mining operation in Sutter Creek, Amador County. The
U.S. EPA will hold a press availability on Monday, June 26 to
answer questions about the cleanup.
PRESS AVAILABILITY
Date: Monday, June 26, 1995
Time: 1 p.m.
Location: U.S. EPA command post; 121 Mesa de Oro Circle
(at the top of the Mesa de Oro subdivision).
The press availability will take place under
the blue awning adjacent to the command post
trailer.
Directions: From Highway 99 north of Stockton, take Highway
88 towards Jackson. At the junction with
Highway 49, go north on Highway 49. Make a
right on Bryson Drive and a left on Mesa de Oro
Circle. Drive to the top of the subdivision.
