EPA Awards $500,000 to Arkansas for Brownfields Redevelopment

The city of Camden and Pulaski County will each receive $250,000 from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to help address brownfields -- urban sites with real or perceived environmental contamination. Camden is working to redevelop a blighted downtown area for industry and recreation. Pulaski County is planning to remove environmental and health hazards in specific areas in Little Rock and North Little Rock so that the areas can be redeveloped.
