EPA awards over $90,000 to the Pueblo of Santa Clara

(Dallas, Texas - March 14, 2007) The Environmental Protection Agency has awarded $99,914 to the Pueblo of Santa Clara. These funds will provide continued support for the Tribe's water pollution control program. The funding, provided under the Clean Water Act, will assist the Tribe in implementing a project to protect the Santa Clara Creek wetlands and streams from further erosion and to improve water quality. The project will also reestablish native plant communities to improve wildlife habitat, stabilize streambanks, and minimize erosion.
