THURSDAY: EPA to Celebrate Progress at Woolfolk Chemical Works Superfund Site and Present Excellence in Site Reuse Award to the City of Fort Valley, GA

(ATLANTA – July 7, 2009) On Thursday, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will honor the City of Fort Valley, Ga., with the EPA Region 4 Excellence in Site Reuse Award and celebrate $1.8 million in new funding awarded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 to accelerate the cleanup of the Woolfolk Chemical Works Superfund site.
