Statement from EPA Administrator Carol M. Browner upon the death of
Congressman George Brown
We are saddened to learn of the death of Congressman George Brown. In his more than 30 years of distinguished service to the American people, Congressman Brown was a tireless and dedicated advocate for the protection of public health and the environment. Congressman Brown will be remembered for his unparalleled efforts to advance environmental and health sciences, and his passionate concern for protecting the health of our children. We extend our deepest sympathies to his wife and family.
